Nexus Packaging are committed to driving the transition to a circular economy.
In 1950, the world was essentially plastic-free. Today, plastic can be found in a majority of the objects we use in our day-to-day lives. There are good reasons for this – plastic is lightweight and unbreakable. And it’s flexible in terms of how it’s shaped.
The drawback is that many products made of plastic are only used once. After that, they end up in the garbage or even in nature. This has a negative impact on the environment, and the economy loses a valuable resource. Through a variety of measures.
Packaging makes up around two thirds of all plastic refuse. Unfortunately, rubbish isn’t sorted in many regions around the world.
In some cases, it isn’t even disposed of in rubbish bins. Estimates indicate that 3 billion people don’t have access to controlled waste disposal systems. This must be changed as a matter of urgency. We believe plastic is a valuable resource that has to become part of a circular economy.
We want a circular economy for plastics, and we want it as soon as possible. We’re committed to achieving this!
